Dr. Parimala completed her MBBS from Karnataka Medical College, Hubli, in 1982, followed by DGO in 1984, and MD from Karnataka Medical College in 1985.
She received specialized training, including FICS, in 1998 from Birmingham, UK, and FICOG.
She further pursued a WHO Fellowship in Safe Motherhood to enhance her expertise.
