Dr. Sandhya Balasubramanyan is a renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon with over 24 years of experience.
She is among India's few female plastic surgeons who have performed over 2,000 cosmetic surgical procedures.
Dr. Balasubramanyan specializes in various procedures such as breast augmentation and lift, body contouring and liposuction, facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty, hand and microsurgery, and cleft lip and palate repair.
She has a special interest in face-lift with minimal scars, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, and facial rejuvenation with autologous fat.
She holds an MBBS degree from Government Dental College, Calicut, in 2000, completed her MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, in 2005 and her MCh in Plastic Surgery from Trivandrum Medical College in 2009.
Dr. Balasubramanyan received further advanced training, including a fellowship in Advanced Aesthetic Surgery from Belgium in 2010, a Fellowship in Cosmetics and Lasers Surgery from Mumbai, and a Visiting Fellowship in Oculoplastic and Craniofacial surgery from Adelaide, Australia.
She also received Oculoplastic Surgery and Blepharoplasty training from the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia.
Dr. Balasubramanyan is an active member of the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI) and the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic (IAAS).
